Bride to Be

Wow! How it has been crazy. I have been busy planning a wedding; my wedding. It's been so much fun. But, the best part was this last weekend. All my sisters and my mother went to Denver to go dress shopping. It turned into a weekend to remember. A little bridal shower for me, got to eat at my favorite restraunts, and having my family there to help me pick out that special dress was GREAT! Below are some favorite pictures

Goodbye to the house

Cory everything out of his house this weekend. Our last meal there, he cooked me the best ribeye steak just like the first time he cooked for me. I fell in love sitting in the chairs around his table and it makes me kinda sad to know I will never see that house again. BUT.... On to bigger and better things.

Baptizing the Baby

Yesterday I had the honor of joining my family for Abigail's baptism. It was so special. I cried like and I'm not even her mom. I just love her so much and can't believe she's at this age. It was a really special and spiritual moment that will be captured in my mind for a long time to come. We also had a great time sitting around the campground visiting before the baptism. She got baptized at bever creek in such a beautiful spot. I'd drive all those miles for the 4th weekend in a row to see it again any day!

Doing it up in Denver

Last weekend I had the wonderful privilege to go to Denver on a girls weekend with the wonderful Alisha Domina and my great mother. We stayed at the Monoca in the room called, "Bringing Sexy Back". Hehehe. It was really nice. The best part was laying in bed and laughing at old funny stories, shopping for little trinkets to make us happy and calling Alisha a yatch :) Can't wait to do it again next year... this time though, it's Arizona for us!

I Go Everywhere

Abby playing softball

I think it speaks for itself

In the past week and a half I have been to Casper, then to Minnesota for business, then flew back to Casper the next morning, then back to work, then to Gillette to watch my niece play softball (great time with the sister),then on to Newcastle to see family and Cory, then on to Rapid City to get my ring sized and go on a special date with Afton, then back to Newcastle, then back to Sheridan for work, the next day to Casper for work, then back to Sheridan to sleep, and finally back to Casper again for my volleyball officials clinic. Phew. I'm a tired girl!

Exciting Engagement

This weekend, I became a fiance to a wonderful man. How romantic it was sitting by the creek listening to the water flow. When he pulled out a beautiful ring, I could not contain my excitement and promptly said yes. I found out later that my family knew that it was coming; had seen the ring, asked my father and all. I, on the other hand, was left guessing all weekend. Very excited and even more excited for the wedding which I never thought I would be. I've always wanted a very simple wedding with very little intensity but now I find myself planning a huge event for many many people. Good luck to my mother and father who will host it in their back yard with lilacs in bloom and a bride in no shoes. That, will probably be the simplest part of the wedding. Cory has already been told that he has one job; to stand there and look good. I'll take care of everything else :) Who would have thought I'd be like this!

Cozy Camping

This weekend, I got the oppertunity to go camping with Cory. It was a blast. The first night we tried to go to tongue river canyon but wow... there was no way we were camping there with all the runoff. So, by the time we got up the big horns, it was awful late so we just went to bear lodge and "camped" in a cabin. It was very nice and I slept like an angel; making Cory get up to stoke the fire every couple hours. The next night we actually camped and it was great. Cory caught 9 HUGE fish! We only ate two though. Everything was great except... I chopped my finger open twice (Cory let me use the saw), I bashed my ankel on a rock, I burned my forehead with the fire (it's not visable) and I woke up at 1 in the morning throwing up. However, it was a great time and a weekend to remember.

MICE MANIA

So for the last day, I go to turn on my AC in my car and it was making this horrible noise. Sounded like something was stuck in the fan. I finally took the time to look down at the fan under the passenger seat and it was obvious I had a malfunction. So, I did what any daughter would do and called my dad. He told me I better take it in to Kia so.... I reluctantly called the Kia dealer in Rapid to schedule an appointment. It was gonna cost me all that gas money to go to Rapid just to have the fan looked at but they said it'd be better I take care of it now cause it sounded like it was going out and I don't want to be without AC in the summer. I made the appointment and then tonight, after volleyball, ran up to my friend's house. Because he's a man, I thought what the heck and asked him to take a look. He went out there with a screwdriver in hand and said, "I'll fix it". Normally I wouldn't have stayed around but I couldn't believe he was gonna fix a problem I was gonna have drive all the way to another state to have fixed with just a screw driver. He told me I probably dropped bobby pins in there :) (Anyone that knows me well enough will get that). So, I sat there while he crawled under and started unscrewing the fan cover. He pulled it back and all I saw was a bunch of gray chunks that looked like lint gathered up. Until.... he said, "Oh, they're baby mice" EEEKKKKKK. I went squealing through his lawn screaming at the shock that for the past two days I had mice in my car and a mother had given birth in my vehicle! YUCK! Then I got to thinking.... two days ago, I turned down my music because I could have sworn that I heard little squeeks but everytime I got quiet, they got quiet so I just figured it was from the radio or something. Guess not.

Why Weren't We?

Why weren't we made simpler.
My mind rolls like thunder waiting and anticipating the lightening bolt; but it never comes.
What are we to do when we just don't know what to do?
Why weren't we made simpler?

FANCY Fun

The last two days have been filled with savy dinners and suppers. Talk about your new experience. I have never experienced going to a gated house and eating a catered dinner with the chefs cooking in the kitchen right in front of you; bring the food as it's prepared with hors'devores beforehand. I ate stuff I can't even pronounce. I swear against seafood, but I must say, I know what ate was seafood and it was good. I believe at one point, I heard octopus. YUMMY! After supper we came home and I met a new friend named Katie. She is a matual friend that I got a chance to get to know. Very great person. We relaxed for a while a visited. Very nice. I took Sophia to the beach in the morning. We got to spend some good quality time together. She dug and dug and dug in the sand. At one point, a man came by and dropped a ton of bread and birds came from everywhere. I had flashbacks of Alfred Hitchcok "The Birds". Sophie loved it. After a morning at the beach, we went and walked the famous Santa Monica pier. Played a few games and then, brought our merry selves home. It was a great way to spend the morning and a wonderful supper to end the evening.

Today, we went to the beach again and then to The Ivy for lunch. That's right folks!!!! I ate at the world famous Ivy. Don't worry, no paparatzie wanted my picture :) The food was so good. The only famous person I've seen in Anne Currey and she cooed all over Warren. Such a cutie he is. Tonight, roomservice and babysitting so the mom and dad can have a date night. I have had a blast here and will miss the kids so much!

Crazy Cars!

I have never seen so many nice cars in one place at a time! WoW! I believe America still has some money.... Just can't find where mine is ;) Makes me think... "steal from the rich and give to the poor." Anyone know where that one comes from????

Fun In The Sun

Seashell Searching

My Boy
Told was a great day. We first went to the beach. What a trip that was. We decided to bring the stroller with us and little did we know that the water was much further away than we assumed so... we were left carrying the stroller with Warren in it. Sophie had a blast. She really had to warm up to the sand but once she finally decided to try it, she did an awesome job. Warren fell fast asleep when we were down there. Sophie and I ran around outside of the Santa Monica Peer chasing birds for quite some time. She was quite fascinated with that and all the seashell she could find. We went to find pirate treasures and found a deflated balloon that filled in as our pirates treasures. Oh the things it takes to please kids. Then we made our hike back up to the boardwalk.

Tonight, we went to a wonderful supper. If this is work... I don't know what play is because I really don't feel like I'm "working" much as a nanny. Besides, I got in the freezing cold pool this afternoon with Sophie to swim. She is such a swimmer. But, once it warmed up, no problem. Dessa said, "You are the nanny!" :) We had a good laugh about it. I really hope I'm helping her out. I just love her kids so much that it's tough to not want to be around them.

After supper, I went down to the Shutters On The Beach lounge and listened to a DJ and a famous drink mixer for a little bit. Took a couple of pictures of pictures of the sunset, ordered some dessert for room service, and went to bed. GOOD DAY!

Shuttering at Shutters On The Beach

Takeoff Time

Finally made it to L.A. Haven't gotten to see much but I have already seen the best things possible. My niece and nephew. I tell you what, there's nothing like having your niece reach out her arms to you the minute she sees you. All night, she wanted only Auntie Tara to help her, wash her hair, hold her, etc. The feeling is better than anything else :) I sure do love her. And Dubs... He's gotten so so so big. He stayed awake all afternoon. I got to hold him and love on him. He's so handsome. At least he has the taylor dimples.

So, we're staying at Shutter's on the Beach. It is beautiful. Below are some pics of me and soph and the hotel
